Tokyo Oneself
Tokyo—how I miss this amazing city. It's been a few years now since I last visited Tokyo, right before the pandemic. It was quite fascinating to have seen how quiet and peaceful the neighbourhood streets are while, just metres away, the main roads are consistently happening and cluttering with traffics and pedestrians. Back in my early street photography days, I was always eager to capture decisive moments in an ordinary manner. The following photography series, unintentionally documented in 2017, displays various candid movements of the local residents. By single them out individually in a photograph, it certainly does feel like Tokyo is a lonely city—scattered with all things... oneself.
